Rio de Janeiro Weather
Brazil's seasons are reverse of those in the United States. Although in many parts of the country, you could catch any of the four seasons, there are really only two a visitor should be occupied with; the rainy season and the non-rainy season.
Since Rio de Janeiro is usually considered a hotspot, it's important to factor your travel dates in with the expected temperatures and weather for the given time of year. In the South (where Rio de Janeiro is), the rainy season can last until March.
However, that's also in the center of the high season to visit Rio de Janeiro. As a traveler and a guest of the country, it's up to you to choose hot days with a high chance of rain or cooler days later in the season with a lower chance of rain.
Lucky enough to soak up the sun? Visit Rio de Janeiro's hot beaches and jaw dropping natural views.
If Rio de Janeiro's weather rains on your parade, there is still plenty to do. Head in to some of the hundreds of shops and restaurants the booming city has to offer.
